Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, who are busy with the shooting of Coolie No 1 have headed to Goa along with Jaaved Jaaferi to shoot the final schedule of the film. Confirming the news, producer Jackky Bhagnani told Mumbai Mirror, “Sara’s character is from Goa, so, we will also be filming some important scenes which are integral to the narrative, along with some lighter moments featuring Jaaved.” An original composition, which is produced by Tanishk Bagchi will be shot in and around Panjim. “The idea is to make the most of the beach locations and churches in the picture-perfect state."
The makers have recreated one of the iconic tracks from Coolie No 1 for the remake, which is Mein Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha. It is composed by Tanishk Bagchi. Talking about the track, director David Dhawan said, “It is an important song for our film, and it has heart. But times have changed so I am going to picturise it very differently with Varun and Sara." Pooja Entertainment's Coolie No 1, directed by David Dhawan, starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, is all set to release on May 1, 2020. The last film released by the production house was Jawaani Jaaneman starring Saif Ali Khan and Alaya Furniturewala.
