After his much appreciated performance in 'Kabir Singh' actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to return to the big screen with the sports drama 'Jersey.' The actor who has already began prepping for the film recently shared a video were he is seen tuning his cricketing skills. Furthermore, in a recent development it has been revealed that Shahid's father Pankaj Kapur has joined the cast of the film were the 'Karamchand' starwill be seen essaying a pivotal role.
According to reports, "Pankaj plays a mentor-like figure to Shahid in the film and is a strong pillar of support to Shahid's character during his unexpected comeback journey. "Apart from Shahid, Mrunal Thakur will also be seen in the film who plays the role of Shahid's love interest in the film. Prior to this, the father-son duo have worked together in films like 'Mausam', and 'Shandaar.' The sports based film is directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri and is expected to hit the theatres around August 2020.
