Dancer-actor Shantanu Maheshwari's mother always wished to explore her acting skills, and her son helped to fulfill her desire.

A cameo special role along with Shantanu, in the recent episode of the digital "D3" comeback series, is what his mother is also now a part of.

"My mother is someone who loves dancing and acting, but was never even allowed to even pursue these things as hobbies. So when it came to me and my brother, she always ensured that we were enrolled in extracurricular activities to do what we wanted to try our hands at," said Shantanu.

"It had also always been a long-standing desire of hers to perform on a large stage with an audience watching her, which came true when she and I danced together on the 'Jhalak' stage," he added.

On her wanting to act someday, he said: "Well right now with the 'D3' digital series back in action with the entire cast having come together for it again, one of the cameo roles required for this recent episode, had my mother fit well into the character, which she and I were both very excited about! It also marked her acting debut of some sorts. She performed her role amazingly well in her own way."

"The cherry on the cake was the episode releasing around Mother's Day. So my brother and I are really happy that on this special day, we were able to give her an experience to do something she always wanted to do! An experience to live through right now, and imagine how it would have been had she done such wonderful things in her childhood days or when she was growing up! Hence, it was indeed a very proud moment for both her sons to see her live her desire and feel so special about it," he added.
