Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 8 : Actors Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon got candid about their roles in the upcoming TV show 'Barsatein-Mausam Pyaar Ka'.

Set in a newsroom, the show features two individuals who lock horns with each other as they become entangled in a confusing web of emotions. Shivangi Joshi plays Aradhna Sahni, an ambitious young woman with a passion for journalism, while Kushal Tandon will be seen as Reyansh Lamba.

However, slowly Aradhna finds herself drawn to the dapper and irresistibly handsome Reyansh, and this results in the beginning of their love story.

Shivangi said, "Many people have been drawn to mysterious individuals, only to have their hearts broken. And this relatable concept and the characters will build intrigue and grab the attention of the viewers. I hope the audiences enjoy this show as much as we enjoy being a part of it."

Kushal also added, "I am thrilled to announce my return to TV as Reyansh Lamba. He possesses a natural charm that makes him irresistible to women. However, he is elusive, emotionally unavailable and at times egoistic, disregarding what others might feel. To infuse freshness into this flamboyant character and look the part, I also dedicated myself to intense training in martial arts, particularly jujutsu, in Thailand, regaining my physical form."

Producer Ektaa R Kapoor also spoke about her show and said, "'Barsatein' explores the depths of human emotions through this appealing narrative. The show delves into the lives of two strong-willed individuals, bound together in a complex tapestry of emotions."

On the work front, Shivangi made her acting debut with 'Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi' and she became a popular face of TV with her dual role of Naira Singhania Goenka and Sirat Shekhawat Goenka in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Ha'.

On the other hand, Kushal is known for working in 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' and 'Beyhadh'. He was also seen in 'Nach Baliye 5', 'Bigg Boss 7', and Khatron Ke Khiladi 5'.

'Barsatein-Mausam Pyaar Ka' will be starting on July 10 on Sony Entertainment Television.
