The release date of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's yet-to-be-titled Luv Ranjan film has been announced. The rom-com will release on March 18, on the occasion of Holi, next year. The shooting of the film has already commenced in Delhi. The film was announced in December 2019 and was earlier slated to release in March this year. However, the novel coronavirus pandemic forced the makers to shift the date. Shraddha took to Instagram to share the new release date of the film.

This film will see Dimple Kapadia essaying the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s mother, while Boney Kapoor will play the role of Ranbir’s father. Interestingly, it was Arjun Kapoor who convinced Boney Kapoor to take up the film. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have collaborated for the first time for the project. This is also their first collaboration with Luv Ranjan. The director has helmed films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Apart from the Luv Ranjan film, Ranbir also has Shamshera and Brahmastra slated for release. He was last seen in Sanju, which was a huge success. Speaking about  Shraddha, she was last seen opposite Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 3. The high-octane action was directed by Ahmed Khan and bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala. The actress has signed Nikhil Dwivedi’s ‘Naagin’. The film will reportedly take the ethos from Indian mythology and it will be merged with modern-day superhero. The film will is expected to go on floors soon.
