Adding to the growing chorus of admiration for Ranveer Singh’s work, Siddhant Chaturvedi has spoken candidly about the actor’s craft in a recent interview while promoting his upcoming film.

When asked which is the performance in recent times he loved the most, the actor instantly said Ranveer Singh from Dhurandhar. Speaking about Ranveer’s performance in Dhurandhar, Siddhant highlighted the quiet strength and emotional depth that define the role. Calling it a “held-back, mature performance,” he praised the intensity Ranveer brings without resorting to theatrics. ““I think Ranveer Singh from Dhurandhar. Such a held back, mature performance. The intensity, the depth. That man’s art is, you know, to kind of disappear in the character” Siddhant said, noting how Ranveer’s presence feels instinctive rather than performative.

The conversation naturally turned to their time together on sets that allowed him to closely observe Ranveer’s process. Recalling their time on set, Siddhant described Ranveer’s approach as a rare example of complete surrender to the role. “During Gully Boy, he just submitted. Submission is one of the biggest traits of an actor, I feel—and he aces it like nobody else’s business,” he shared.

Coming from a fellow actor, the appreciation carries particular weight. Siddhant’s remarks reinforce a quality that filmmakers and co-stars frequently associate with Ranveer Singh: an ability to shed the star persona and fully inhabit the inner life of his characters. Whether it’s the raw vulnerability of a street rapper or the controlled intensity of a complex, layered role, Ranveer’s performances are driven by instinct, discipline, and deep emotional honesty.

With the appreciation flowing in from all across the globe, Ranveer Singh continues to set a benchmark for acting. And with Siddhant Chaturvedi joining the bandwagon echoing this sentiment, it’s clear that Ranveer’s craft speaks loud. Reigning as the box office king after delivering India’s highest grossing film of all time, all eyes are on his explosive arc in Dhurandhar: The Revenge which is set to release on March 19th.
