Simon Fisher Becker, who played a role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, breathed his last on March 9, 2025, at the age of 63. His wife, Toni, and PR team have confirmed the heartbreaking news. The Harry Potter film series is cherished by fans of all ages, making the news of the passing of one of its actors deeply saddening.

Simon portrayed the Fat Friar, the jolly ghost of Hufflepuff House, in the first installment of the Harry Potter franchise. His performance, though brief, left a lasting impression on fans. Beyond Harry Potter, Simon was also well-known for his role as Dorium Maldovar, a blue-skinned black marketeer, in the iconic TV series Doctor Who. Both roles earned him immense popularity.

Simon began his acting journey in British theatre before transitioning to film and television.
