Singer Renu Nagar, who participated in Indian Idol season 10, has been admitted to a hospital in Rajasthan. As reported by Aaj Tak, the singer went into a state of shock after learning about the news of her boyfriend’s death. The deceased identified as Ravi Shankar had eloped with Nagar last month and the police had traced them on August 24. Shankar consumed poison on Thursday night and was rushed to a hospital in nearby Alwar district where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.

Ravi belongs to a town in Bharatpur district. He lived in a rented house in Alwar. He used to come to Renu's house to learn tabla. During this time, the closeness between the two of them had increased. It is being said that he was already married and also had two kids who were living in his hometown. Ravi's body was shifted to a mortuary for post-mortem, informed the police as per PTI.
