Washington [US], April 20 : CBS bids farewell to two of its dramas, 'So Help Me Todd' and 'CSI: Vegas,' as both series face cancellation.

Scheduled to air their season finales in May, these episodes will now serve as the final curtain call for the shows, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

'So Help Me Todd' entered its second season while 'CSI: Vegas' embarked on its third, but the network has made the decision to discontinue both programmes.

With solid viewership numbers averaging 7.7 million and 7.6 million viewers, respectively, the cancellation came as a surprise to many.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS cited scheduling constraints as the primary reason for axing the shows, leaving little room for their return next season.

As fans bid adieu to these series, CBS gears up to introduce new content.

Among the upcoming releases are the reboot of 'Matlock' featuring Kathy Bates and the comedic venture 'Poppa's House' starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. Additionally, the network has greenlit new series such as 'Watson,' 'NCIS: Origins,' and a 'Young Sheldon' spinoff.

'So Help Me Todd' originally debuted in 2022, featuring Marcia Gay Harden as a defence attorney and Skylar Astin as her son and investigator.

On the other hand, 'CSI: Vegas' revived the iconic franchise, boasting a cast led by Paula Newsome and Matt Lauria, with appearances from original stars, William Petersen and Jorja Fox.

Despite their cancellations, the legacy of 'So Help Me Todd' and 'CSI: Vegas' will linger as fans bid farewell to beloved characters and storylines.
