Further expressing gratitude for being a part of the film, the actor tweeted, "I'm really glad to have been a part of a film that took a step in the right direction to broaden people's perspectives towards the LGBT community. #EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga."

The film, that also stars l Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla, has won hearts even outside India owing to its concept.

She meets a playwright, played by Rajkummar Rao, who helps her in revealing her preference to her father played by l Kapoor.
