Sonu Nigam opens up about nepotism in music industry, reveals young singers are tortured

Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam in a Instagram video revealed that there is a music mafia in the industry which is running the music world by torturing and pressurizing young artists. The singer cum actor opened up about the issues faced by people working in the music industry and how this could result in another death. He added that there are a couple of music companies that abuse their power and end up creating a lot of trouble for singers, composers, and lyricists. 

He even said that lyricists are paid next to nothing even though they work very hard. Sonu Nigam then shed some light on how sometimes music labels force the artist to put more songs in an album or in a movie, even when it is not required. The singer also said that only two major music companies in India are ''running the whole show and have the most power right now''. The singer then went on to reveal how many young and talented artists don't get work because of various similar issues. 

Sonu revealed how artists even lose work because the actors influence the decisions. Sonu Nigam explained to his followers that he has been in the show business since 1991 and these things are quite common. The singer also raised questions related to a monopoly in the music world. He also stated that he started his career early and was successful in getting out of the clutches of the so-called Music Mafias. However, he said that he felt bad for the younger generation artists and their plight in the industry. The tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has exposed the reality of showbiz with many actors and director's opening up on the trouble which non star kids are subjected to.
