MNS Chief Amey Khopkar in a Facebook post warned T-Series MD Bhushan Kumar to stop working with Pakistani singers. In a strong worded video, Amey Khopkar lashed out at Atif Aslam. The MNS chief questioned, the producer on why Indian talent is not being used judiciously. Amey warned, that all music content related to Atif Aslam should be deleted and also questioned the stand of the Producers Guild.

The MNS chief appreciated Salman Khan for his coronavirus single Pyar Corona which aimed at promoting brotherhood. He also warned Bollywood producers to not work with Pakistan artists. In 2016, after the Uri attacks, the Raj Thackeray-led party had similarly set a 48-hour deadline for all Pakistani artists working in India to leave the country. Bhushan Kumar has found himself in controversy after Sonu Nigam threatened to expose him. Sonu shared a new Instagram video on Monday morning, which he captioned: "Laaton ke mafia baaton se nahi maante (you cannot reason with the uncouth mafia with words)." In the video, the singer accused Bhushan of attempting to sabotage his image.
