Sunita Ahuja, the wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has finally responded to the reports of their divorce. The couple's purported split earlier this year drew media attention. After remaining silent on the subject for weeks, Sunita, who has been highly visible in the media for her direct responses, addressed the same. Sunita reportedly became upset with those who were spreading "negativity" about her marriage to the superstar when ABP recently questioned her about the same thing. Earlier this year, there were rumours that Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, were getting a divorce after 37 years of marriage. Their 'contrasting living choices' and Govinda’s affair were cited as the causes of the breakup. Sunita filed for divorce six months ago, according to Govinda's attorney, but the issue was eventually settled. In response to the divorce allegations, Sunita has finally said that everything is good between them.
Slamming people for spreading rumors about them, Sunita said, “Positive hai ya negative hai. Positive hai mujhe pata hai. Mai sochti hu kuttey hai log bhaukenge (Whether it is positive or negative, I take it positively. I think people are dogs, so they will bark). Till the time you don’t hear it from mine or Govinda’s mouth, don’t believe anything."
The actor is said to have had an extramarital affair with a 30-year-old Marathi actress, who is said to have been a major factor in their suspected breakup. Her name is still unknown, though, and there has been no confirmation of the scenario.

Lalit Bindal, the couple's lawyer and close friend, told India Today in February that everything is fine between them now. "Couples continue to experience such issues, yet they are still together and will always be so. It is regrettable that people only criticise them when the couple is together, and I can guarantee that they will always be. There will be no divorce, he said.
Sunita and Govinda were married in March 1987. The couple has two children, a son, Yashvardhan, and a daughter, Tina.
