Taapsee Paanu is slowly and steadily establishing herself as one of the most bankable stars in hindi cinema with some phenomenal performances in recent times. The former beauty queen's last few releases like Badla, Mission Mangal, and Saand Ki Aankh have been well appreciated by both audience and critics alike. Meanwhile, the year 2020 looks promising for the actress with upcoming films like Thappad and Rashmi Rocket.
However, if recent reports are to believed the 'Pink' actress has also signed a romantic thriller opposite Vikrant Massey. The film which is yet untitled will be helmed by Vinil Mathew of 'Hasee Toh Phasee' fame and will be bankrolled by Aanand L Rai and T-Series. The movie in all likelyhood is expected to go on floors in 2020. Talking about the film, a source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror, “The makers thought a fresh pair would work in the film’s favour as it will keep the mystery element intact since there will be no preconceived notions about them as a couple.” The source further added that the film will be shot in North India but the location is not finalized yet. “But since the story is set in that part of the country, the makers want to keep it authentic.”
For the unversed, Vikrant Massey has been part of films like Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do, Half Girlfriend and Lipstick Under My Burkha. The actor will next be seen in Chhapaak which stars Deepika Padukone and is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The movie which helmed by Meghna Gulzar is scheduled to release on January 10 2020.
