Superstar Ajay Devgn's 100th film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. The news about the same was released today by the UP government, in which it states that the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government decided to make 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, tax-free. However, the movie is yet to be made tax-free in Maharashtra. The Revenue Minister of Maharashtra Balasaheb Thorat said that movies like Chhapaak and Tanhaji be made tax-free in the state. He said the issue would be taken up with the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

The period drama which is based on the life of Tanhaji Malusare, the 17th century military leader of Chhatrapti Shivaji founder of the Maratha Empire. Upon its release the movie has met with positive response from both critics and audience alike. The movie also marks the return of Ajay and Kajol together on the big screen after a gap of 11 years. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn's ADF and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. Check out the Twitter announcement about the film being made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.
