Sir Sean Connery, who played the spectacular James Bond in seven films, died at the age of 90. After the news of the legendary actor went viral, celebs took to social media to pen their condolences. Actor Abhishek Bachchan took to his Twitter handle to pay condolences for the star icon. His tweet went on to read, “We’ve lost another legend today. After watching Highlander I hoped he’d remain immortal. He will live on through his immense work. #RIP Sean Connery. There will never be a better Bond than you”. The Scottish actor was the first to play Bond on the big screen and went on to appear in seven films as 007. 

He remained a fan favourite and was considered the best actor to do justice to James Bond’s character in the long-running franchise. In the year 2000, he was knighted by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II. His remarkable performances in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Marnie' (1964), 'The Wind and the Lion' (1975),Steven Spielberg's 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade', 'Murder on the Orient Express' (1974), 'Highlander' (1986) and 'The Rock' (1996), among other movies won him several accolades.
