Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan took to Twitter recently to compliment the trailer of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb. He praised Akshay's performance as a man possessed by the spirit of a transgender person and said he is looking forward to the film. Dear @akshaykumar, what a superb trailer, my friend. Can't wait to see it. This will be huge! Wish it was releasing in the theatres. And your performance is outstanding! Best wishes to everyone," read Aamir's tweet. A happy Akshay retweeted Aamir's post and said that the latter's supportive words mean a lot during these tough times the industry is facing. He said, "Dear @aamir_khan, thank you so much for your kind words and supportive encouragement, truly means a lot in these heavy times. So touched my friend. #MenSupportingMen"

Laxmmi Bomb is the remake of the Tamil horror comedy, Muni 2: Kanchana, which was also directed by Raghava Lawrence. Laxmmi Bomb stars Akshay and Kiara Advani in lead roles and  all set to release this Diwali, on November 9, 2020. Trans right activist Laxmi Narayan too applauded Akshay's performance in Laxmmi Bomb. In the video, Laxmi called Akshay's 'Laxmmi Bomb' trailer 'dhamaakedaar' and thanked the actor for a good trailer and mentioning her name too. The film is produced by A Cape of Good Films, Tusshar Entertainment House, and Shabinaa Entertainment. Speaking of the film's release on an OTT platform, Akshay Kumar told news agency PTI, "To be honest, today I am excited for this platform. But yes, I'll say that I am also sad for theatres. After all, movies are theatres' first birth right. But in the current situation, everyone's safety is of utmost priority."
