Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 2: Telugu action film ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh,’ starring Pawan Kalyan, collected an estimated Rs 9 crore net on its second day, taking its two-day domestic total to Rs 43.75 crore, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The film, which released on March 19, recorded an overall occupancy of about 36% on Friday across 3,447 shows. It had opened strongly with around Rs 34.75 crore net on Day 1 but witnessed a slight drop in collections on its first Friday.
The film opened alongside the Hindi release ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge,’ starring Ranveer Singh, which has recorded significantly higher numbers at the box office. The Hindi spy thriller earned about Rs 80.72 crore on Day 2, with its total domestic collection reaching Rs 226.27 crore, including previews. Its Telugu-dubbed version contributed around Rs 1.30 crore on Friday.
Despite the slowdown, ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ has managed a steady start by industry standards, though its opening remains lower than some of Pawan Kalyan’s recent projects. His previous film ‘They Call Him OG’ had a significantly higher Day 1 collection.
‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ follows the story of a police officer navigating high-stakes situations, combining action, drama and commercial appeal. Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film also features Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna and R. Parthiban in prominent roles.
