Kalank star Varun Dhawan celebrated his mom Karuna Dhawan’s birthday along with rest of the family members at home amid the COVID-19 lockdown. Keeping the celebrations simple Varun and his father David Dhawan cut a small cake. The October actor gave a glimpse of the low key celebrations on his social media. On the work front, Varun Dhawan's last release Street Dancer 3D failed to impress the critics at the box-office.

Next up, he will be seen in  Coolie No. 1 which is directed by David Dhawan and features Sara Ali Khan as the female lead.  Yesterday, Varun unveiled the new poster of Coolie No 1 wearing a face mask along with a coolie cap and 'tikka' on his forehead. Dhawan shared the poster on social media and assured his fans that despite being a bit late due to COVID-19 crisis, the comedy flick will surely hit the screens to spread laughter. 'Coolie No. 1' is the remake of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer hit film of the same name which released in 1995.
