Varun Dhawan demands severe punishment for Nirbhaya convicts

The makers of Street Dancer which stars Varun Dhawan, and Shraddha Kapoor finally released the trailer of the film with great pomp and fanfare. At the trailer launch, Varun who looked dapper in a grey sweatshirt and checkered pant spoke about the Nirbhaya rape case. The 'October' star said, "We want strict punishments in the Nirbhaya case as a team we call for stringest punishment.'' 

In a latest development in the Nirbhaya case, The Supreme Court rejected the plea to review the death penalty of the accused Akshay Kumar Singh. The Delhi Patiala House had deferred the hearing on the plea seeking issuance of death warrants against the four convicts. Talking about the film, Street Dancer is one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2020. Directed by Remo D'Souza the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is slated to release on Jan 24th. The film also stars Prabhudeva, Nora Fatehi, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles.
