Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar celebrates his 97th birthday today and wishes have been pouring in for the thespian of Indian cinema on social media. Taking to his Twitter handle, young star Varun Dhawan wished the veteran superstar in typical filmi style. The Kalank actor posted a young potrait of the legendary actor, with a heartfelt message. Varun wrote, Happy birthday to the loving legend  #DilipKumar Saab. On this day 97 years ago brilliance was born #aebhai. Check out Varun Dhawan's twitter post here....

Dilip Kumar himself, shared a photo on Twitter, thanking everyone for their warm birthday wishes. The Devdas star wrote, On this 97th birthday, calls and messages have been pouring in since last night-thank you! Celebrations are not important- your boundless love, affection and prayers have always brought tears of gratitude in my eyes. The yesteryear star who was last screen on the big screen in 1998 often shares updates about his life and health on social media. Recently, when Lata Mangeshkar was discharged from hospital, Dilip Kumar tweeted a photo with Lata didi wishing her speedy recovery.
