Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma were the popular couple of B-Town. They often used to be spotted at multiple events; however, the couple called it quits in 2025. The reason behind their breakup was never discussed. Vijay revealed that he is a romantic, acknowledging the conflict between ambition and love.
In an conversation with ETimes Vijay said, "Sometimes ambition can come in the way of love. Ambition and romance can fight with each other. But I have often chosen romance over anything else. I’m very sensitive and I feel things very deeply, and I think my ability to feel so deeply, something that I can’t really switch off, is probably one of the main reasons I became an actor."
Vijay also mentioned that his film Gustaakh Ishq underperformed commercially. He added that for the role, he had to shed the toughness he'd developed from playing difficult characters and rediscover the innocence and curiosity he felt as a film student at FTII.
Tamannaah and Vijay reportedly started dating in 2022 after meeting and working together on the sets of the Netflix anthology series Lust Stories 2, though they made their relationship public in 2023. According to reports the couple parted ways in 2025 after dating for over two years; however, neither has confirmed the reports.
