After years of persistence and quiet hard work, actor Vipin Bhardwaj has finally bagged a significant opportunity in Salman Khan-starrer Battle Of Galwan. The project marks a major turning point in Vipin’s journey, and the actor credits not just destiny but strong mentorship for shaping him as an artist. Working under director Apoorva Lakhia has been a learning experience that Vipin says has deeply influenced his outlook towards cinema and professionalism.

Speaking about Apoorva Lakhia, Vipin highlights the director’s unmatched discipline and clarity on set. “He is extremely punctual. Even being a minute late is something he does not appreciate. I have known him for many years, and I have never seen him arrive late,” Vipin shares. According to the actor, Lakhia’s clear vision makes the entire shooting process smoother. “He always has the script in mind, knows the edit points, and is absolutely sure about what he wants. No matter what challenges come up, his clarity never changes, and that makes things much easier for actors.” Vipin also praises the distinct visual style that defines Apoorva Lakhia’s films. He points out that movies like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Ek Ajnabee, and Haseena Parkar are remembered not just for their stories but also for their iconic look. “The styling in his films is very strong, which is why his movies stand out,” he says.

Beyond technical learning, Vipin says Apoorva Lakhia taught him confidence, especially as an outsider. “One of the biggest lessons for me has been learning how to put my point across without hesitation. He never thinks about who he’s talking to—he says what he believes is right,” Vipin adds, calling the director’s journey inspiring and powerful. Off set, the bond is equally warm. Vipin describes Lakhia as fun-loving, stylish, and passionate about bike rides and cricket. However, when it comes to work, the director is “extremely serious,” dedicating years to a single film with complete conviction. For Vipin Bhardwaj, Battle Of Galwan is not just a film—it is a masterclass in discipline, confidence, and commitment.
