The excitement for the IPL 2025 is already building up as Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan arrived in the city on Friday for the much-awaited opening ceremony. Paparazzi caught glimpses of the actor flanked by tight security as he arrived at the airport, greeting an eager crowd of fans who were waiting to catch a glimpse of the star.
In a video shared by a paparazzi, Shah Rukh, dressed casually in jeans, a white t-shirt, and a vest, was seen waving and blowing kisses to his fans. Notably, the actor’s signature ponytail had been replaced with a new look, as his hair had been chopped and colored. Despite the security presence, Shah Rukh made sure to stop and interact with his fans before heading to his vehicle.
The opening ceremony is set to be a star-studded event, with big names like Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Shraddha Kapoor, and others expected to attend. The event will also feature performances by the American pop band OneRepublic, along with Indian music icons such as Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Disha Patani, Varun Dhawan, and Karan Aujla. According to a source close to the event, “Their presence is likely to add a touch of glamour and excitement to the highly anticipated event. Shah Rukh is expected to attend as his team is playing the opening match, and Salman might make an appearance to promote his upcoming film, Sikandar.”
