After a long buzz and rumours, Varun Dhawan finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, designer Natasha Dalal in a close-knit ceremony in Alibaug on 24th January 2021. Varun took to his social media handles to announce it shortly after the ceremony and wishes started to pour in right after. Among the guests were his mentor and director Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan, Kunal Kohli and designer Manish Malhotra. Several pictures of the couple are going viral on the internet. After the ceremony, the newlyweds greeted the paparazzi outside The Mansion House (the wedding venue). When the paparazzi asked Natasha Dalal to pose for them, Varun requested the shutterbugs to go easy on her. "Aaram se! Darr jaegi woh," Varun Dhawan said. Reacting to what Varun said, Natasha burst out into laughter. The couple were a vision in white attire.
The wedding took place in Alibaug's The Mansion House. With tight security and strict rules against posting any pictures from the wedding on social media. Earlier this month, Varun had spoken about how his marriage plans with Natasha were affected last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. He had added that this might be the year they tied the knot. "Everyone is talking about this (his marriage) for the last two years. There is nothing concrete right now. There is so much uncertainty in the world right now, but if things settle down, then maybe this year. I mean… I am planning for it definitely soon. But let there be more certainty,” he said in an interview to Filmfare magazine. Varun confirmed dating fashion designer Natasha Dalal during an episode of Karan Johar's talk show Koffee With Karan 6, where he said, "I am dating her and we are a couple...I plan to marry her." In December 2020, while talking to Varun on her radio show What Women Want, Kareena Kapoor called Natasha Dalal his "fiancee," confirming that the duo got engaged last year.
