Actor Shanaya Kapoor is not just gearing up for her much-anticipated debut on the big screen—she’s also using her platform to speak out on issues that matter deeply to her. Known for her advocacy for animal welfare, Shanaya recently voiced her concern on social media after watching a disturbing viral video. The video showed a heart-stopping moment where a man attempted to board a moving train at Jhansi Railway station while dragging his golden retriever alongside him. In the frantic rush, the dog lost its footing, slipped off the platform, and narrowly escaped being run over by the train. The golden retriever managed to crawl to safety, but not without leaving viewers distressed by the sheer negligence on display. Shanaya didn’t hold back. Sharing the clip on her Instagram stories, she wrote: “No pet deserves to suffer due to human negligence. If you can’t ensure their safety, you do not deserve a pet. Heartbreaking.” Her strong words struck a chord with her followers and sparked a much-needed conversation on the responsibilities that come with pet ownership.

The overlay on the video captured the sentiment perfectly: “When money can’t buy wisdom. A golden retriever barely survived after being dragged onto the railway tracks due to its owner’s careless attempt to board a moving train. Pets trust us with their lives, yet negligence like this puts them in grave danger.” This incident has reignited discussions around the need for more awareness and accountability among pet owners. While all the top folks are quiet on this issue, here’s one kid who is vocal about it—and she’s doing it with conviction. Shanaya’s outcry wasn’t just a reaction—it was a reminder that animals are not accessories, and caring for them requires consistent compassion and caution.

On the work front, Shanaya Kapoor’s has number of films in her kitty. She has films like Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan with Vikrant Massey, Bejoy Nambiar’s Tu Yaa Main and Vrushabha with Mohanlal in her kitty. That’s not all. Tusharr (Khanna) also auditioned, and it went well. The casting team is impressed and is considering signing him as one of the male leads. But nothing has been finalised as of now," the source said.Shanaya’s Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is expected to hit the big screens by mid-2025.
