A 26-year-old Bengali actress and model was reportedly raped at her Bijoygarh residence in Kolkata. According to reports, a man, who is known to the actress, visited her on July 5 seeking financial help. He took advantage of the actress as she lives alone in the apartment and also filmed it on his phone, threatening her to release it online if she filed police complaint. 

However, the actress courageously filed a complaint at Jadavpur police station and also underwent medical examination. Giving information about the incident, the police has said that a case has been registered against the accused under Section 376/506 of the Indian Penal Code the matter is currently under investigation.
