In a bid to provide top performing young football players with an immersive experience in the hub of global football, LaLiga Football Schools Annual Scholarship will kick-off its regional camps from November 30 onwards across three cities in India.

The regional camps will be held in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru on weekends from November 30 to December 15 for the best students across U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-18 age categories in the LaLiga Football Schools programmes.

Sixty four kids have been selected from each region to participate in the regional camps, of which 32 will be selected by head coaches and Javier Cabrera, Technical Director, LaLiga Football Schools, for the national camp in January 2020. The players will be selected on the basis of high technical skill, demonstrated history of progression and performance through the LaLiga Football Schools methodology, exemplary behaviour, attitudes and performance in academics and emulating the values of LaLiga Football Schools like commitment, effort, team spirit, respect, team work and humbleness.

Launched in the 2018-19 season, in association with the Embassy of Spain in India and India On Track (IOT), four students were awarded the LaLiga Football Schools Scholarship earlier this year. The aspiring football players visited Spain for a period of ten days and trained with LaLiga first division club, CD Leganes. An immersive experience was created for the students with their getting exposure to and learning from the club officials, Spain's top youth players and coaches and experiencing the football culture in Spain.
