The match was between two of the most decorated teams in Poland, as Wisla won the league 13 times and Gornik have one title more, reports Xinhua news agency.

Striker Pawel Brozek made a perfect start for Wisla to break the deadlock just three minutes into the game after a perfect cross from the right wing by Michal Mak late on Friday night. Gornik found the equalizer 10 minutes into the second half thanks to Lukasz Wolsztynski, who rifled the ball from close range into the far post.

Wisla responded immediately as Chuca beat the goalkeeper with a low drive. It seemed that the team from Cracow will take an important three points, but in the closing stage Gornik turned the game in their favour by scoring three goals in just 15 minutes. The hosts levelled the score when an unmarked Jesus Jimenez header found the net. Then the team coached by Marcin Brosz continued the momentum.

Igor Angulo converted the penalty to put his team in front with three minutes to go and in stoppage time Jimenez scored his second goal by arrowing the ball into the bottom corner to make it 4-2.

"The most important for me is that after the third goal we went ahead and wanted to score more goals. It is the most valuable thing in sport that we fought to the end, not only for points, but also for the highest number of goals to bring joy to ourselves, but above all to our fans," said Gornik coach Marcin Brosz at the post-match press conference.
