Twelve more people tested positive on Thursday in Jammu & Kashmir as the total number of COVID-19 patients rose to 983 in the Union Territory.

A statement issued by the information and public department said 12 more tested positive - 4 in Jammu division and 8 in Kashmir division.

The total number of COVID-19 patients has risen to 983 in J&K. So far, 11 patients have died while 485 have recovered.

The number of active cases is now 487 out of which 42 are in Jammu division and 445 in Kashmir division.
