13 new cases take corona tally in Bihar to 290

With 13 new coronavirus cases reported from Monghyr, the total cases in Bihar rose to 290, health officials said on Monday.

Patna, April 27 With 13 new coronavirus cases reported from Monghyr, the total cases in Bihar rose to 290, health officials said on Monday.

Health department's principal secretary said, "All the 13 new infected patients are from Monghyr's Jamalpur area. They include 8 women and 5 men."

He said among the total people infected as on date, 56 have recovered and 2 people have died of the disease so far.

Kumar said out of the 22 affected districts in Bihar, 81 cases have been reported from Monghyr followed by Patna (33), Nalanda (34), Siwan (30), Buxar (25), Begusarai (9), Kaimur (14), Rohtas (15), Gaya (6), Bhagalpur (5), Nawada and Saran (3 each) , East Champaran (5), Banka, Bhojpur, Vaishali and Aurangabad (2 each) , Madhepura, Arval, Jahanabad and Lakhisarai (one each).
