Srinagar, Oct 19 Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 427 new Covid-19 cases, taking the Union Territory's coronavirus tally to 88,369, while nine deaths in the past 24 hours took the UT's Covid death toll to 1,388.

A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said that of the 427 positive cases reported on Monday, 169 were from Jammu division and 258 from Kashmir division.

Out of the total cases, 78,667 have recovered completely. On Monday, 781 patients, 417 from Jammu division and 364 from Kashmir division, were discharged from different hospitals.

The number of active cases in the UT stands at 8,314 now, of which 3,189 are from Jammu division and 5,125 from Kashmir division.
