Forty-seven more people tested positive on Monday in Jammu & Kashmir as the total number of COVID-19 patients jumped to 1,668 in the Union Territory.

A statement issued by the information and public relations department said 47 more people tested positive in J&K, 33 from Jammu and 14 from Kashmir division as the total number of COVID-19 patients rose to 1,668.

Two patients succumbed on Monday to the dreaded virus and the total number of people killed by COVID-19 in J&K rose to 23.

So far, 809 patients have recovered completely.

The number of active cases in J&K is 836 out of which 216 are in Jammu division and 620 are in Kashmir division.
