Srinagar, July 17 Jammu & Kashmir on Friday saw 601 more people test positive as the total number of COVID-19 cases reached 12,757 in the Union territory.

A statement issued by the information and public relations department said 601 tested positive, 137 in Jammu division and 464 in Kashmir division as the total number of people infected with coronavirus rose to 12,757 in J&K.

9 patients succumbed Friday in different hospital of J&K. So far, 231 people have been killed by the dreaded virus while 6,558 have recovered completely.

The number of active cases is now 5,968 in J&K out of which 961 are in Jammu division and 5,007 are in Kashmir division.
