75-year-old woman becomes Karnataka's 18th Covid-19 victim

A 75-year-old woman succumbed to Covid-19, taking Karnatakas coronavirus death toll to 18, an official said on Thursday. The total number of positive cases in the southern state stands at 432.

Bengaluru, April 23 A 75-year-old woman succumbed to Covid-19, taking Karnatakas coronavirus death toll to 18, an official said on Thursday. The total number of positive cases in the southern state stands at 432.

"A 75-year-old woman from Bantwal with history of hypertension and pneumonia died on Thursday at the Wenlock district hospital in Dakshina Kannada," said a health official.

The deceased woman was a contact of the state's 390th positive case.
