96-year-old man dies of Covid-19 in TN

A 96-year-old male succumbed to coronavirus infection in a government hospital in Karur, taking the death toll in Tamil Nadu due to Covid-19 to 12 on Tuesday.

Chennai, April 14 A 96-year-old male succumbed to coronavirus infection in a government hospital in Karur, taking the death toll in Tamil Nadu due to Covid-19 to 12 on Tuesday.

A state government statement said the nonagenarian patient hailing from Dindigul was admitted to the Karur Government Medical College Hospital on April 9.

He had breathing problems and died at 6.40 am on Tuesday, the statement said.
