Many of us think that spending long hours in gym can make us fit. Meanwhile social media's influence has also fueled a surge in gym attendance, particularly among youth striving to emulate fitness icons. However unsupervised, rigorous training, often inspired by online videos, carries significant health risks.

Warm-ups are crucial for preparing the body for exercise, reducing the risk of injuries like strains and tears that are more common with cold muscles. Skipping warm-ups can also impair strength, power, and stamina due to muscle tightness and incoordination.

Fitness trainer Avan Reddy advises that 45 minutes to an hour of daily gym workouts is generally sufficient. Prolonged exercise can overstress the body, damaging bones and muscles. Driven by the desire for rapid muscle growth, some young people ignore these limits, increasing the risk of harm to joints and muscles.

Overexertion from lengthy, continuous workouts can lead to exhaustion, weakened bones, and muscle shrinkage. It can also disrupt hormonal balance and contribute to various health problems. Seeking guidance from a certified trainer is essential to ensure proper technique and minimize the risk of injury.

Furthermore, the use of steroids to accelerate muscle growth poses serious health consequences, affecting the kidneys, heart, and liver. Experts emphasize that natural exercise is the safest and most effective path to achieving fitness goals.
