The global pandemic Coronavirus has claimed three lives of the employees of Cadila pharmaceuticals situated at Dholka in Ahmedabad. According to sources, around four dozens of the company's employees are infected with the virus.

Cadila pharmaceutical company Ahmedabad has been hugely affected by the Corona virus, as around 40 to 50 of its employees have been tested positive for the virus infection, sources said.

During the past couple of days, three of its employees have succumbed to the dreaded virus.

"We are terribly saddened by losing three of our colleagues. We are in touch with their families for extending all the necessary support and help," said spokesperson of Cadila pharma.

"We also take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our employees. We are in constant touch with all our employees who are in hospital or in quarantine," the spokesman added.

Looking at the spread of the outbreak, the company set up its own COVID-19 quarantine facility at its manufacturing unit at Dholka, where it gave the option of quarantine facilities to its employees or choose to get quarantined at their homes.

Till Friday, 9,724 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Ahmedabad, the union government has declared it a hotspot. The city also saw losing 645 lives to the global pandemic.
