During the Corona virus, when the whole world was fighting an invisible virus, the immunity of many people was reduced. However, it has now come to light that children born during this difficult time have tremendous immunity. A major revelation has been made in this regard in research. The research says that the immunity of children born during the lockdown has been found to be very strong. These children fall ill much less than children born at other times.

This research conducted by University College Cork in Ireland has shown that only 5% of children born during the lockdown had allergies, while earlier this number was about 22.8%. Not only this, the need for antibiotics of these children was also very low, only 17% of children were given antibiotics in a year, while usually this number is about 80%.

What is special about children during the lockdown?

Researchers believe that the microbiome (good bacteria) in the stomach of these children is very different from other children. These microorganisms play a very important role in strengthening the body's immunity. This is why these children are getting a lot of relief from allergies, infections and other common ailments.

What is a microbiome?

The microbiome actually consists of millions of microorganisms found in our bodies, especially in the intestines, which are beneficial for us. According to the National Institutes of Health, these organisms play an important role in digesting our food, producing energy, fighting infections and strengthening immunity.

The benefits of 'these' things

During the lockdown, the world had stopped. There was no traffic, no industrial pollution, no dust, no dirt. The biggest benefit of this was for these newborn babies. There was very little pollution, so the children's lungs remained clean. There was very little exposure to viruses and bacteria, which gave their immunity time to develop without any dangerous attacks. In a way, these children got natural antibiotics, clean air, a pure environment and a calm start.
