Srinagar, June 21 Recoveries continued to stay ahead of new cases in J&K on Monday, as 1,224 persons were discharged from different hospitals after recovery while 362 new cases and 10 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Of the 362 new cases reported on Monday, 101 were from Jammu division and 261 from Kashmir division.

A total of 10 deaths 3 in Jammu division and 7 in Kashmir division were reported on Monday, taking the Union Territory's overall Covid death toll to 4,262.

One confirmed case of black fungus was reported on Monday, taking the total number of Mucormycosis cases reported from J&K to 25.

Till date, 312,156 people have been infected with coronavirus in J&K, out of which 300,135 have recovered.

The UT presently has 7,759 active cases, out of which 2,876 are in Jammu division and 4,883 in Kashmir division.
