Srinagar, Sep 17 J&K's Covid-19 tally crossed 59,000 mark on Thursday as 1,467 more people have tested positive for the disease, health officials said.

With 1,467 new infections, the caseload in the Union Territory has mounted to 59,711, with 785 from Jammu division and 682 from Kashmir division.

As many as 19 people have succumbed to the disease, pushing the death toll to 951.

Officials added that so far 38,521 people have been recovered in the UT.

There are 20,239 active cases in J&K out of which 11,455 are from Jammu division and 8,784 from Kashmir division.
