Kathmandu, Oct 4 Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Olis advisors and a personal aide have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, prompting the premier to undergo a lab test.

Oli's Chief Advisor Bishnu Rimal, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Rajan Bhattarai and Press Advisor Surya Thapa were confirmed to have been infected, The Himalayan Times reported on Saturday.

Indra Bhandari, the Prime Minister's personal aide, has also been diagnosed with the disease.

Oli had recently tested negative for the contagion.

Nepal has so far reprted 84,570 coronavirus cases and 528 deaths.
