PGI-Chandigarh cures, discharges two Covid-19 patients

The first two Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI), here on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, April 14 The first two Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI), here on Tuesday.

While 31-year-old PGI healthcare worker had been hospitalised on March 30, another person cured was 42-year-old woman resident of the city.

She had been referred by the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 to the PGI with coronavirus infection on April 3.

Both were given a warm send off by healthcare professionals, led by PGI Director Jagat Ram.

Chandigarh Adviser Manoj Parida said two more Covid-19 patients recovered and were discharged, thus reducing the number of active cases in the city to 12.
