PGI-Chandigarh ranked 2nd in NIRF rankings for third time in a row

The PGI here was ranked second for the third consecutive time as per the National Indian Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings announced by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development on Thursday.

Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the NIRF rankings 2020 through an e-release in which the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) competed with 118 institutes under the medical category.

AIIMS in New Delhi was ranked first in this category, while the Christian Medical College in Vellore came third.

The PGIMER had bagged the same position in the NIRF rankings in 2018 and 2019.

PGIMER Director Jagat Ram congratulated each member of the PGI family for their continuous support and efforts in achieving this feat.

He also thanked Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Harsh Vardhan.
