Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 23 Recoveries outnumbered the new Covid cases in Kerala in the last 24 hours as fewer samples were tested.

In the past 24 hours, with 35,659 samples send for testing only 3,757 new Covid cases were reported taking the total tally to 5,00,089 while 5,425 people recovered from the virus.

According to a statement issued by state Health Minister K. K. Shailaja, the active cases in the state were reported to be 64,166 whereas with 22 more deaths due to Covid the total death toll reached 2,071.

3,14,543 people are under observation across the state including 16,148 at the hospital.
