Moscow, Dec 21 Russia on Monday reported 29,350 new Covid-19 cases, marking a record high single-day spike, which increased the country's overall infection tally to 2,877,727, according to the national anti-coronavirus crisis centre.
The crisis centre said that the increase does not however, exceed 1 per cent, reports TASS News Agency.
Of the new cases, St. Petersburg reported the highest (3,752), followed by the Moscow region (1,523).
The country's death toll currently stood at 50,242.
