Afghan air raids kill 12 militants

A total of 12 militants were killed as fighter planes struck Taliban hideouts in Mohmandara district of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, an army statement said on Wednesday.

Jalalabad, Feb 19 A total of 12 militants were killed as fighter planes struck Taliban hideouts in Mohmandara district of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, an army statement said on Wednesday.

No security personnel and civil were hurt during the airstrikes on Tuesday, Xinhua quoted the statement.

Taliban militants active in parts of Nangarhar and neighbouring Kunar and Nuristan provinces have not commented so far.
