Aminul hails from Dokkhin Para area in Araihajar upazila of Narayanganj.

According to the police, he used to run a Facebook page under an ID called 'Ghumonto Shardul'.

'Shardul' an Arabic word means 'strong fierce carnivore' and 'Ghumonto Shardul' literally translates to a 'sleeping fierce carnivore'.

Aminul believed in the establishment of an 'Islamic caliphate' at any cost through militant activities.

A mobile phone, a huge number of radical books, and documents related to the ABT were recovered from him.

Facebook authorities earlier blocked ABT account, after which Aminul started a new page under 'Ghumonto Shardul' ID and continued the "extremism campaign", he said.

Aminul was trying to destroy the peace and order in Bangladesh, the SP added.
