An Indian national was stabbed to death in Canada's Rockland, and the Indian Embassy informed on Saturday morning, April 5. "We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of an Indian national in Rockland near Ottawa, due to stabbing," said the Indian High Commission in Ottawa in a post on the social media platform X.

The embassy said that the suspect involved in the stabbing incident in Rockland, where an Indian national was killed, was arrested by the police and sent to custody. However, the embassy did not reveal the name of the accused in the incident.

"Police has stated a suspect has been taken into custody. We are in close contact through a local community association to provide all possible assistance to the bereaved kin," it is further stated.
