Covid-19: Nike closes hundreds of stores around the world

Amid the coronavirus spread, hundreds of Nike stores across the world will be temporarily shut down from Monday onwards, the company announced.

Washington, March 15 Amid the coronavirus spread, hundreds of Nike stores across the world will be temporarily shut down from Monday onwards, the company announced.

The US-based MNC said that all of its branches in the US, Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand will remain shut until March 27, but stores in South Korea, Japan, most of China and "many other countries" are going to stay open, reports in US media said.

Nike also said that its workers would be paid in full during this period of closure.
